Tow Stores Which Are Close to Each Other

Sangosho has two stores in Shonan areas. One is the flagship store and the other one is a branch.

If you prefer a place with a nice view and a suiting vibe so you can relax more, the branch store, Moanamakai,  is recommended. It faces Shichigahama beach, that way you can enjoy comfortable winds and the sounds of the ocean.

The table at the terrace is the best position, however,  Sangosho doesn’t accept any requests to manage a lot of visitors in the waiting line. Thus I hope you will be the lucky one who takes the position.

I recommend you Moanamakai store personally, however some people say the flagship cooks better curry and it has a more quiet ambiance. So it is all up to you, what you prefer when you would like to have a nice meal.

The Secret of Their Curry

Why is the curry at Sangosho popular? The secret of it is that they don’t use any water to cook the curry. Instead, they use milk. This is why Sangosho serves a very mild and rich curry.

Also they put salad on top of the rice and the dressing adds more of a mild taste to the curry. This is how they make their curry something special.

Both the flagship and the branch store have around 15 choices of curry, and the menu for each one is a little bit different.

The popular menus are the beef curry, the seafood curry and the eggplants&ground meat curry which are at both stores. If you cannot decide from too many options, please try one of these three. You won’t regret it.

Recommended Side Menus

Sangosho is a restaurant for curry, but their side menus are gorgeous as well.

The first one everyone orders is the seafood salad. Sangosho uses a large seashell as its plate and it looks absolutely breath-taking. Not to mention that the seafood and veggies are fresh.

The second one is the garlic french fries. Thick french fries are sprinkled with a lot of garlic powders and peppers. Once you start to eat, your hands would never stop moving between your mouth and the plate! Also you cannot help ordering a glass of beer!!

Something to be Noted

1. Sangosho doesn’t accept booking. It is a first come, first serve system. Hence try not to look for a “Reservation page” on their website!

2. The curry at Sangosho is a little bit too much for ladies and you can order the one with less rice with a 100JPY discount.

3. I strongly recommend you to go there on weekdays not weekends. If you go on weekends, you can find yourself waiting for about 2 hours. And please don’t guess your waiting time only by the line outside, because there are still a lot of people waiting inside. This might shock you!!
