The Concept of L’ecole de Nice

The Concept of L’ecole de Nice is to get gastronomy, art and music together. This bistro is owned by French-Japanese composer and DJ as well, and the original sounds are always being playing.

On the walls, there are a lot of arts by local artists and is like a small gallery.

They use all white simple plates for their dish. It bring out the colors of the foods and the foods themselves can be the parts of arts.

This concept makes L’ecole de Nice modern and more than a normal restaurants in Nice. It seems really successful.

French cuisine in Nice has a strong flavor and dynamic. On the other hands, Japanese cuisine is delicate and slightly seasoned. They seem completely opposite.

However, at L’ecole de Nice, both cuisines are balanced perfectly and brush up each other.

The original flavor of the ingredient is lively and Japanese touching are added to French cuisine.

Not so strong flavor but the more you chew, the more you savor.  It is definitely true chef magic!

The price is fixed at L’ecole de Nice as below.

Lunch: Starters + Main course or  Main course+ Dessert is at 18€
Dinner: Starters + Main course + Dessert at 27 €
(Both don’t include a beverage)

The menu changes daily and the chef serves today’s best. Hence it is always fresh and you can feel the season through their dishes.

The daily menus are shown on a chalk board. Check it with a huge excitement! Cods, rabbits, shrimp, truffle…a lot of guests come up in turn.

The dessert has got a lot of compliments from guests.

Pineapple cannelloni, Fondant chocolate, Pana cotta, Tart citron…They have a lot of lineup and you never know until you check the chalk board.

And when you have French cuisine, a glass of wine should not be forgotten. They have a lot of local wine selections. Bellet is very smooth and you can choose from 10 types. If you are a wine lover, you will really enjoy it.

The restaurant KEISUKE MATSUSHIMA (He named it his name) is at 22 ter rue de France, 06000 Nice. This is the restaurant he got a Michelin star and you can enjoy the food he really cooks.

It is more pricey and luxury than L’ecole de Nice. After you complete his restaurants, you are already cast a spell by him.
