In Vancouver, there are a lot of brunch options, they are all lovely and have nice foods and a great service. You can not go wrong whichever you choose, but in this article I recommend you Catch 122, which is very popular among locals.

It is located on West Hastings, near the corner of Abbott Street. They serve Canadian food made with fresh ingredients.

Their affordable brunch is highly recommended, and you will love the great selection and the setting at Catch 122.

The Vibe

Catch 122 has a nice rustic vibe. Exposed bricks, high ceilings and handcrafted wood tables establish an atmosphere of a mountain hut. (The wood tables were actually made by the owners, Brent and Tammy)

This laid-back vibe welcomes everyone, from large groups of friends, to a families with a baby stroller or couples.

The place is more like a bistro than a cafe, hence the inside space is a bit dark. If you prefer brighter spaces, the seats facing the window can be a good option for you.

Brunch Menu

The Brunch is served until 4 p.m., everyday. Main brunch menus are $13 and you can have some side dishes, sweet menus and drinks for less.

I strongly recommend you to have a dish with eggs. Catch 122 only uses local, freshly picked, free run eggs from trusted farms. You can tell how fresh they are from the orange yellow color of the yolk.

Their locally sourced and hand-made sausages, bacon, pastrami, gravlax, roast, pastry and desserts should not be missed, either.
Below are 2 top popular brunch menu.

1.The Gastown Classic

The Gastown Classic consists of two eggs (any style), house-made maple beans, a toast, Yukon nugget potato hash, a choice of maple pork sausage and smoked bacon or smoked ham.

Each of these items stands out, and the whole plate is perfectly presented.

2.Eggs Benedict

Happy Hour is is from 4 – 6 p.m. on Tuesday to Friday and 5 – 6 pm on Saturday. You can have all classic cocktails at $7 each, and other drinks are less than $5.

The snack consists of humms, smoked olives, frites, fried oyster, fried chicken and musseles.

Their cocktails are inventive and gorgeous-looking. This is the place you want to drop by after a hard working day with your colleagues or dear.

About Reservations

Catch 122 always has a waiting line, therefore it is recommended to make a reservation before going there.

However, they don’t take reservations for brunch at the weekend and holidays, on these occasions the rule is “first-come-first-served”.

From Mondays to Fridays and for dinner, though, reservations are always available, and you will end up having to wait for at least half an hour, if you don’t make a reservation.

Dinner starts from 5 pm and reservations are available on any date.
